I wanted to hold off putting these pictures on here, but a buddy of mine told me to make a new thread so it would help motivate other poolees. Originally I wanted to wait so God willing I earn that title Marine, I was going to put before and after pictures up. I suppose I will put more after pictures up in March. I took me two years to lose all this weight and now I only have maybe six more pounds to lose for ship out weight. In June of 2006 I was at 290 pounds, wearing a 42-43 inch waist, and a XXL shirt. Now as of today I wear a 32-33 inch waist and a medium shirt.

Congratulations! Wanna share your weight loss strategy (obviously you've been doing some lifting) with everyone? I'm sure anyone training to leave for boot could benefit, even if it's just further motivation.

I love that not only do you want to serve, you are so motivated to do so that you were able to achieve such a tremendous goal, that kind of perseverance will serve you well.

Thank you for your desire to serve for those who won't or (like me) can't serve. And for your dedication. That is truly impressive.

This is impressive. It reminds me of Accord's weight loss and transformation to enlist. I love seeing these threads- it eliminates the possibility of someone expecting us to care when they whine about needing to lose 20 pounds and claim they cannot do it.

Great work!

Thank you everyone, my strategy first started with wanting to lose the weight for something real. In my case it was for the Marine Corps (and for the ladies). I started by doing just cardio and eating right. After doing that for a while I did start to lift weights, but now all I do except for running is natural body movements. Pull ups, squats, lunges, push ups, crunches. All the stuff you can do at home in your room. Once again thanks everyone. Here is some more pictures.

Wow, fantastic. I at one point had a trouble with weight myself, nothing as extreme as you but I went from 230 to 165 in 3 months to get ready for boot camp.

Looking back at my All Marine Sports Programs days as a Personal Trainer. Very few fat bodys that got as big as you were even tryed to comply let alone lose it to stay in the Marine Corps. Way to go Son!! !!! Its that type of personal pride and determination a small unit leader will see in your SRB and pick you up for an addition to his unit.

Good Luck and God Speed on the challenges ahead for your EGA...

Thats really awesome dude, congrats. I lost weight but nothing like that. I went from 263 as my highest down to 221 which was my lowest. But now I'm at around 235 trying to get into the 210-215 range.

But congrats and good luck.

Thanks again everyone, and BigGunz90 what you did is still an accomplishment on it's own. 2ndLAADBnWrench, what do you mean SRB? The Marine Corps is what motivated me to lose the weight. Now I just hope that I will earn the title MARINE
