I was with 1/9 in Vietnam from 67 Nov to 68 Apr, I am now the NW Regional Membership Chairman, and am hoping there might be some 1/9er's out there that are unaware of the Association, and if there are member that would like to say Semper Fi, I look forward to that.

The above link is Sgt Sawyer. He was in 1/9 during Vietnam also. I think he was leaving as you were getting there. You may know him though.

You know you are qualified to be a member of 1/9 that I belong to, we are all one and would welcome all of you. As a matter of fact, there is a Sgt turner who was at our Reunion, and he is a new 1/9er. fourfinger49@hotmail.com. You can contact me there, and if you talk to Sawyer, pass my email address on to me I would appreciate it. I am going back in and try to find him. When I do functions for the associations I belong to I wear my Marine Corps Dress Blue, and believe it or not after I got out of the Marines I joined the Coast Guard and retired with 21 years. Are you looking for all 1/9 Marines, or just the Vietnam era Marines? I have a friend that was with Charlie 1/9 when they redesignated to Golf 2/1. I'm sure he would be interested if you're looking for all 1/9 people.
