Two US marines killed in blast identified

WASHINGTON: The Pentagon on Tuesday identified a second American killed in a bombing at the Mariott hotel in Islamabad as a 22-year-old sailor.
Petty Officer Matthew O'Byrant, of Duluth, Georgia, was a cryptologic technician assigned to the Navy Information Operations Command at Fort Meade, Maryland, the Pentagon said.
He was killed September 20, along with at least 60 other people, when a suicide bomber detonated an explosives laden truck at the hotel.
The Pentagon on Monday identified the other American killed in the blast as Air Force Major Rodolfo Rodriguez, 34, of El Paso, Texas.
