Local veteran coming home after two tours

Andrew Haworth is coming home to Bakersfield Monday after serving two tours in Iraq in the United States Marine Corps.
Haworth, 22, is a 2004 South High grad and joined the Marines a week after graduation.
He was recently promoted the rank of a corporal. He works in helicopter avionics and is a member of the Purple Foxes. During both tours, he served in central Iraq. His home base is Pendleton, CA.
Most of his family lives in Bakersfield, including his parents Michael and Michele Haworth and his wife, Tami, who is expecting their first child later this month.
