Olive Drab uniform

I am in AJROTC and I am authorized to wear all out-of-date utilitie uniforms. I haveACU, BDU's DCU's and a set of Olive Drab Combat Torpical uniform. I would like to know am I authorized to wear a white Cotton T-Shirt under the Blouse. I asked my AI(First SErgeant) and he says it doesn't matter because that is what he did in the Army. Is that true?
