going Grunt

Well I have surched the forums and have yet to find this question, if it was previously asked than my mistake. But I was wondering what a day in the life of being a grunt is like. I joined 03xx and doing 0311 or maybe 0331 and I just want to know what it is like on base when you are not deployed? What do you do? kind of an open question I know.
