Hey just a quick question, Can anyone sign up to become a scout sniper and go through the school, or what is the process in which a Marine must go..? Thanks for the help..Semper Fi.

My advice, is just hold on. I tried out for STA platoon in my battalion, they were only taking LCpls and above with at least a deployment. Your a boot just like me, get some experience under your belt then try for it.
If you are talking sniper school then go to the back of the line. There are active Marines in sniper platoons who can't get a quota.

My unit is having an indoc, for Lances and above. If you want to go STA then you need to have 1st class pft and at least sharpshooter, people say you have to be a expert but you don't as long as you can shoot your good. Just get some experience under your belt and run it up the chain.
