CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. — The remains of a man found at Camp Pendleton have been identified as a civilian contractor.
The Corps announced Friday that they have not determined a cause of death for James Parmentier. The 50-year-old, from the San Diego area, was working on the base but was not a member of the Marines.
The Corps reported a month ago that the remains were discovered. A spokeswoman said at the time that the man had been dead for four or five months.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is investigating.
