Hello dear Veterans..I'm from Latvija..
My Hobby is about learning Snipers equipment..I need information about Tom's equpment..What model of Tom's Tactical west..?
Movie is about 1992 year..Panama..But what of the Tactical west hi carying i don't know..

I assume your asking about his vest, not his west? If so,,, it appears to be some standard made for TV, load bearing vest. :D

Maybe somebody else can help you more then that, but basically you're asking a question about a movie portraying a Marine from the Vietnam era who was wearing and using 90s gear & equipment.

It was an unauthorized portrayal of Gunny Hathcock if that's what you mean. Berenger's character was loosely based on Hathcock.

If you guys are unaware people into Airsoft are usually way more gung ho about their game than painballers, he probably wants to create the entire costume, possibly?

Tom Berenger is a actor he is not really a Marine.The Wookie is right it was based on a Marine,Gunny Hathcock.I see on your profile that Tom Berenger is your favorite Marine.Tom Berenger is a good B movie actor however he was not a Marine.
You should look into becoming a Trekkie.There are a lot of people on line that can help you recreate the deck of the Starship Enterprise in your basement,garage or barn.They even have nice uniforms and shiny boots.If you are lucky they will even allow you to wear the funny ears at their conventions.How old are you Vlad I did not see your age in your profile.
I can see you have a bright future ahead of you as a sniper.Have you thought of ever becoming a Marine or even Recon?I am sure I will be reading about you somewhere on some building or water tower or bridge.Good Luck with your Tom Berenger Shrine.He is way cool!

Not We...I'm planning to recreate this Sniper Costume..with all equpment..
We are occupied by modelling of characters interesting us, or divisions. Therefore also we collect the information about interesting us equpment.
Some things we can't identify. Therefore also we ask the help.

Men's. I not the psixo. :) I'm 23 years old.You think that modelling of USA Army is bad.? I ask as to show respect for people who modelling YOU is engaged. Marines USA.In My oppinion you should be pleasant that somewhere respect you and try to be similar to you. I know that Tom Berenger is only a Actor. But why you consider that it cannot be simulated as the Person in the Film?
Neighbours should be happy that Young mens does not drink alhogol at court yard and does not use drugs and than that good is engaged. If you consider that I am not right. Than excuse...

Vlad, "Sniper" is a movie, hopefully you know that, and not something close to being 'real life'. If you want to re-create his uniform, no problem. However, most of what he is wearing has been modified by Hollywood so he will look "cool", and likely doesn't serve a real purpose. You can probably make what you want, using an LBV vest.

What I would do is go online theres a place called "sniper country" google it....it tells alot of info on US Military Snipers, and I would research lots of photographs of snipers, remember you are doing a sniper impression for airsoft is it? Taking and making a sniper outfit from a movie that takes place in Panama isnt exactly what you want for Russia, those two are whole other country you understand? I'd say F*CK looking like Tom Berenger, study up on Marine Scout Snipers (the best of the best 8541's oorah!) and then mold your own impression of a sniper in your enviornment so that when your friends see it and ask "Who is that based off of?" you can say "This is an impression of a Marine Scout Sniper operating in our enviornment" I think that sounds alot cooler than "This is Tom Berenger in 'Sniper'" dont you?

Thanks for your's answer..Yes..i know that this is movie and his Equpment doesn't give reale purpose.. :) I'm interested in Snipers job..Specialy in Russian Snipers works..But in this moment a want just recreate Tom's uniform..And all!Only uniform! :)

Stephen Hunter wrote a good series on Marine Corps snipers with fictional Bob Lee Swagger as the main character. Later Mark Wahlberg starred in a movie about him. The movie is okay but the books are way better.

Just understand that in the real deal a lot of time and effort goes into putting those two Marines out there on a Sniper Mission. You have to train them, fly them out there, refuel and get weapons to the aircraft that get those snipers out there, Intel has to find them something tro shoot at, somebody has to pay them and get thier medical needs met, and we have to make sure they can get back from battle.

So its easily a 100 other Marines making sure that those 2 snipers can get the job done.

Its easy enough to get an accurate equipment list for snipers. I'm just trying to educate you on what else really happens.
