Here's a question I haven't had time to pose to the career planner:
Can a first term Marine reenlist earlier than the usual window to take advantage of the tax free status in combat zones?
Example: A Marine with an EAS in FY10 technically can't reenlist until October 2009, but his deployment will end a few months early...can he reenlist on deployment?
I would imagine with the retention issues in the military today the Marines would certainly let you re-up a couple months earlier than usual.
Any insight on this?
