I thought I would throw in a little history for you too. I never went to the factory when I was on recruiting duty but a lot of the recruiters got a lot of excellent deals right from the Ka-Bar factory and there was also a article about Ka-Bar sometime back. I think this is where it is on this forum.

Glad I could help you I don' think that you will be disappointed.

Local Army surplus may carry them. I bought mine brand new from a local surplus to keep the money local.

they are around at gun shows also.and don't forget to pick up the latest brown handled new model from ontario knife.i had to get one of those when i first saw them. i guess you can call it a k-bar /bayo, since it go's on the end of a m-4 or 16a4.every Marine should own a k-bar.its been tradition since ww2,good luck in the search.

Just bought a knew Olean KA-Bar at a pawn shop for 45 bucks. Look out for the knock-offs that are sold just about anywhere. I saw some a while back that were selling for 35 bucks and looked great. They had USMC stamped on one side of the blade and nothing on the other. I figure they were from China.
