Reserve Re-enlistment

I have just returned from Iraq and am currently in my IRR time. I spoke with a CRS to see if I would be able to Re-Enlist for the bonus that is currently availible for reserve Marines. She stated that I would not be eligible for Re-Enlistment unitl my 7th year of service. I have always been told that reserve Marines could Re-Enlist when they had one year remaining on the mandatory drill time. Does anyone have any insite into this process or konw where I could look for the true answer.

Go to the nearest Reserve station. You really don't have to reenlist. You can do your IRR on Active Reserve.

I am planning on staying in for 20 an there was a bonus at the time so i was curious about when i could actually re-enlist
