I'm curious to see what the age differences are with all of you who have joined. I've heard as early as 17 up to 29 aside from this forum.

17. If my ship date isn't moved back again I'll be 17 for about a week in boot camp before I turn 18. If It hadn't moved back at all I'd have been 17 for 3 weeks in boot camp. Somehow I think it would be better if my birthday isn't going to pass while I'm in boot camp.

28 back in '05. I'll be turning 32 and EAS'ing in Febuary. Having a platoon of buddies in their late teens and earlier twenties for the last four years was exactly what an old man like me needed to stay and feel young at heart. Even though 30 is the new 21 ;>

Ahaha, well I'll be enlisting at the young ole age of 20. I go in next week to get myself into DEP.

I can't talk my parents into signing my DEP papers, so it looks like I will be joining at 18.

I'm joining when I turn 17 which is this December. Good thing my parents will consent. Think 17 will be best since you're young and fit. Just my opinion though.

Whats the difference between 17 and 18, or 19, or 20

PhantomLord

I'm a hair shy of 20 and I would consider myself fit.

Garrett90

I was young and fit at 8. I wish I would have DEP'd in then.

Man that first page of 17s and 18s was crazy. I joined at 20 (in June) and will be 21 when I leave for boot camp (October). Originally they slotted me for September 15, 7 days before my 21st. I don't think so.
