Why is it that a drill instructor can be so harsh without being degrading? I am going to apply for DI duty after I make corporal. I just don't see how they can do it. Me, I believe I can do it, but I know a couple DI's and they are pretty harsh. I went through a similated boot camp (no where near the real thing) and I thought they were going to cuss everyone there out. Well to make a long story short, "How do they do it"?
