I served two combat tours in Nam between 65 and 67, got out in 68. It is my belief that I rate the CAR (came out after my discharge) as it was grandfathered. Am I right? Also heard that the RVN...

I believe if you apply for DD215 -- (updated DD214) USMC will determine.

:evilgrin: THERE ARE TWO GRADES OF THE CIVAL ACTION UNIT GIVEN OUT MY THE SOUTH VIETNAMESE GOVT.NO NOT EVERY COMBAT UNIT RATED IT ESPECIALLY THE 1ST.CLASS AWARD!!!JUST LIKE NOT EVERY UNIT,RATES THE "PUC" BUT YOU SEE ALOT OF MEN WEARING IT JUST BECAUSE THERE BOOTS WERE ON THE DECK IN THE 'NAM :mad: :iwo:

best way to find out if you rate them is to apply for a dd-215 like i did
