Camp Lejeune Marine killed in Iraq

Staff Sgt. Danny P. Dupre, 28, of Lockport, La. died July 15 from wounds he suffered during combat operations in Anbar province, Iraq, according to a Department of Defense press release.
Dupre was assigned to 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Camp Lejeune.
A fellow Marine told The Daily Comet of Thibodaux, La. that Dupre was "the glue that kept his squad together."
