Another homecoming for Marines

SAN DIEGO – More Marines are returning to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar today from the war in Iraq.
They belong to Marine Aircraft Group 11 and the Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 121, according to MCAS Miramar officials.
They will return in two groups, the first on a commercial airliner and the second in a formation of F/A 18 Hornet fighter jets, base officials said.
The jet squadron, also known as the "Green Knights," deployed in late January and flew more than 500 sorties during Operation Iraqi Freedom, base officials said.
The pilots will perform a flyover of the air station before being greeted on the ground by Brig. Gen. T.G. Robling, assistant wing commander, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.
