91 year old WWII Army veteran Donald Dragoo of Lincoln, Nebraska slumped over in his seat and passed away 20 minutes from touchdown at the Lincoln airport on the return flight of a trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington DC.

Two physicians who accompanied the veterans on the trip were unable to revive him. Mr. Dragoo had cancelled on a prior flight in May due to fragile health.

At least he got to see the Memorial in his final days. He had served in the 3rd Armored Division in the European Theater.
