Well I have not been on in quite awhile so I thought I would give all of you an update. Well I'm shipping out for SD in two weeks and I couldn't be anymore excited but I'm also nervous. I will definetly be logging on a lot in the next couple of weeks and I will probably ask plenty of questions before I ship. Anyway any advice anybody wants to give before I leave just post it here.

Make sure you refer to your DI's as Drill Sergeants, they love that stuff!

The best advise I can give you is to make sure you sit in the first seat on the bus and when the DI gets on the bus stand up ,poke your chest out, and stick your hand out there and introduce yourself , but make sure you state your name clearly and loudly so he wont forget you. The DI will really appreciate your boldness and enthusiasum. I hope this helps ,good luck .:marine:

My recruiter dared me to wear my Marine Corps shirt to boot camp. The drill instructors looked at me and one came up to me and whispered into my ear quietly: "Turn that inside out before the other drill instructors notice." He didn't even sound angry. Another recruit came in with his red poolee shirt and ripped apart for it.

What's a red poolee shirt? I have no shirt. I got a water bottle though, so that's pretty sweet.

Doesn't matter how many push ups, crunches, or whatever else you can do when your in the squad bay. Your kill hats will break you down til you can do no more and make sure you feel the most amount of pain.

Well everyone I just got back from a pool function in which we ran an IST. Well without getting to deep into it my scores were pretty nasty so I had my ship date pushed to August 11th to give me more time to prepare and to leave with a friend.
