Well after reaccuring injuries, I was told to take another MOS or leave the Marine Corps. Well here I am in Oklahoma in Field Artillery Radar Operator school. My main question is does anyone know if there is any need for artillery radar operators in Pendleton. I'm from the east coast so I dont mind getting stationed on Camp Lejeune. I just wanted to try something different. The class before me all got sent to Camp Lejeune, so I dont know if that means they need more, or they dont need anymore.

Thanks in advance
Claude

Your 1stSgt, SgtMaj, and Retention Specialist will know.

Glad to hear you grabbed another MOS instead of quitting with a hissyfit like some here have done when the Corps flexes and shows em who's boss

Good Luck

I actually didn't know they would know that kind of stuff. I thought no one knew until a couple of weeks before graduation. How would I go about getting in touch with my retention specialist?

If your still in school you may not be able to get ahold of him. You should be able to make a dream sheet of where you want to go whenever you start your MOS training. It may just be the luck of the draw for you.

It'll only be a few years wherever you go so it won't be too bad. By the time you re enlist, if you do, you will be able to choose your duty station.

There is a need for every MOS at every main MC base. It just depends on who is getting back from a deployment and who has a certain number of Marines getting out or going somewhere else.

See if you can talk to your 1stSgt, if you are a good Marine he may pull strings for you.

You'd be suprised what can get done, with a phone call from one 1st Sgt. to another!
