Hi,
My Fiancee is in Parris Island right now. His MOS is 7051(crash fire rescue).I was woundering if you can tell me somethings about this job.It would help me out so much.Thank You.

I don't know anything about their daily routine, we refered to them as "fire rocks"
I think he'll be associated with the air wing and on stand-by for aviation crashes. Like a fireman at the airport.

If things haven't changed since 2000, I believe he will be going to Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo (middle of nowhere), Texas for his MOS school.

**** i know i'm a reservist but i haven't seen the CRASH truck move in two dam years. But CRASH is a fancy name for fireman

The Crash Fire Marines skate, there school is like 3 months long. They usually have a crazy working schedule. I guess its different in every unit but in my unit at 29 they have a crazy schedule. Supply is the way to go..:flag:

It is funny to see the term 'skate' is still in vogue - - 30 years after my day.
I wonder how far back it became a 'catch phrase ' in the Corps?
I doubt it predates 'maggot' and 'slime'
