My father served under this man...Lt. Lee Mings. I met him once as a teen.
My father was telling me a story the other day about Lt. Mings,that he was an expert rifleman and traveled with the USMC rifle team.
He also was awarded a Bronze Star for something he did on Iwo Jima.
I have not been able to find any info at all on Lt.Mings.
My father said he was awarded the Bronze Star in Springfield,Missouri.
Can anyone tell me where I might look for information.
