Web telathon nets 1,055,917.00

Yesterday Move America Forward had a web telathon that was to raise money for care pacakges for the troops. The target was 500,000 dollars to send as many care packages to the troops for the fourth of July.
It was a 8 hour long web cast and it had troops and familes telliing their stories from the front and how the care packages can make them feel like they are still loved here at home.
It was great to see how much was raised and how it will much will be sent over to the ones in Iraq and Afganistan.

I have looked on the mainstream media to see this reported , but alas it will not .
Again if it bleeds it leads , but a good thing will never make it.

I checked and only the conservative news sites are picking this one up. Buy hey, the important thing is that the target goal was met twice over!

I watched the whole thing and they did try to keep it non partisan. But when you have a loved in the AO and you hear the stuff from the media here it makes it being non partisan a little hard.
