Yes, one less to worry about, but what if he would have been capture or he would have turn himself in, maybe he would have sing and we get some information from him. It just a thought.

Baghdad in 2003 seams similar to Berlin in 1945. The writing was on the wall for all to see. Many Nazis were trying to leave Berlin as the Russians entered the city. Among them was Hitler's brother in law, SS General Herman Fegelein(married to Eva Braun's sister). Hitler had him shot for treason(trying to leave Berlin!) about a week before the war ended.
