It's here. I ship Tuesday. Today and a couple hours of tommorow are my last days a civvie. I really don't know what to say. Everyone keeps asking me if I'm scared. I reply "No, not scared, apprehensive for sure."

It's amazing how long someone can think they are preparing theirself for something and then they still feel weak. I've been physically training for about 3 and 1/2 months for the Marines. I went from barely 2 pull-ups to 15 pull-ups. My crunches didn't need much work, and running was a nightmare. Sit in front of a computer for 2 years and you'll understand. I went from a 10:45 mile to a 9:30 1.5 mile. I lost about 12-15 lbs ( started at 185 6'3", not much to lose). I'm proud of myself for these things, but I still feel weak. I completed my final IST yesterday. The above stats are my scores (I did have a hangover, but that's a crutch.). I pushed my body and I have never felt so sore. I wish I did it the entire time. I really do. I wish I would've had a work out buddy that could've pushed me and I could return the favor. Oh well. Time is a-rollin' and you gotta move with it.

So my final words, before I undertake this upcoming transformation? Work. Poolees. Don't run on friggin treadmills. Get outside, in the sun and run until you puke. Just do it. Run hard. Run fast. Screw slow and steady (It really does help you lose weight), you're running to get speed and endurance, not to look good. Don't wieght train. Don't even touch weights. Push-ups, Pull-ups, crunches, and running. THAT'S it. You will gain mass from those exercises. Don't get caught up in a gyms "look good" group.

Marines- Thank you. God put you people here for a good reason. You are here motivate us poolees. You're here to defend those which cannot defend. Truly, you are earths angels. Thank you Davblay, Phantom, Bigal, Motivator, SGT, and last but not least Sparkie. You 6 jump started my outlook on life, and my punk attitude. I'll be back in 3 months to make you proud. My only fear: Becoming a **** bag Marine. I want to always be vigilant and always on time. I want to constantly accept new responsibility.

Well guys, this will be the last post, unless you guys make it interesting enough for me to respond. :p

Peace my future brothers.

Poolee Justin A. Seybert of West Virginia. MOS: 03xx.

PS. List your address if you want written. I promise one letter, just incase I don't have time to write.
