I concure with the last statement. The A-10 should belong to the Corps! That along side the AH-1W and the (in test) AH-1Z would prove to be the ultimate in air support.
It is funny that the Apache doesn't have a baffle. I know that sand gets in everything: however, it would serve as one more line of defence (for the AC itself) while in desert ops.

I agree, we do need to keep the Apache, but simplify it. It's combat record is not that impressive. The AH1Z is going to be an awesome warfighter! As for the A-10, imagine what it could do in the hands of someone who understands and believes in true Close Air Support.
