I just receieved news that I was slotted for Security Forces like I want and I'll be leaving June 23rd for boot:cool:

SF was a pretty good time. You will go to SOI and such than to BSG in Chesapeake VA. I don't know what you want to do in SF but i wanted to be in FAST Co and did so. Your gonna get screened for jobs that require a security clearance. I only got cleared up to Secret but it was needed for some jobs we pulled. Unless you want to walk a fence for hours a day guarding nuclear subs I wouldn't suggest doing the jobs in bangor or washington. There is pretty sweet jobs in FAST Co and Rota Spain. I deployed to Spain with FAST Co it was a great time. I got to go to some awesome schools with FAST too like CQB school and and NBC school. We did the 2004 Olympics in Greece that was freaking sweet. I got to go to like 15 different countries, so go FAST guys walking a fence sucks balls i had to do it in FAST a few times and you lose your mind on a 12 hr post but being in FAST I didn't have to do that for 2 years and only a month. If you good looking you might get picked for presidential support (you know the guys who open the door for the president on Marine 1) or you might get 8th-I. I think the sweetest job you can get though even sweeter than FAST is the body bares for 8th-I, you get to lay Marines to rest in Arlington you just eat food and work out than drill, my buddy was with them and he loved it. Regardless of what you get told to do in SF (walking a fence, or doing the olympics with seal team 3, oops name dropping) its going to be rough and fun as hell.

Ah, I'm just reg SF. I heard the Presidential SF is damn hard to get into.

Prez Support is really hard to get into, if your not at-least 6 ft 1 and good looking with the cleanest background ever you probably get denied. Enjoy the background check where they grill you for like 4 hours at BSG.
