Realizing how boring life can be when you are sitting around waiting for a mission, or in garrison, or for that matter any kind of hurry up and wait job I thought folks might like to know about a resource of free listening materials, mainly novels and short stories, available on the web.
It's a website called www.podiobooks.com (http://www.podiobooks.com) and they have about 150+ audio books totally free...no strings attached, these are just authors who decided to give their stuff away for free....yours truly included.
The stories are mostly Sci-Fi and Fantasy novels with a handful of Clancy-esque Military Thrillers as well. I have been trying to figure out a way to get these downloads into the ipods of the folks in the sandbox or wherever they may be as something to keep their minds busy during downtime.
Some of the stories are like the old fashioned radio-dramas, others are more like audiobooks. If you know of anyone interested in finding something other than the same old songs and comedians to listen to send them the link.
