What ever happened to the Marine 18 wheelers?

Whatever happened to the Marine Corps 18 wheelers? I believe that they were owned by Bar - Nunn Trucking. They had the Silent Drill Team on the sides, they were awesome to see! I haven't seen one in about 8 months to a yr.! They were a rolling recruiting poster!

I am not a Marine but I know some of the answers to this post. My mother and her bf are cross country truck drivers and she calls me quite often telling me she has seen the Marine 18 wheelers and they are quite a site to see. The one my mom has seen is the one with the sword with the words "Earned not given" on it. She said a private individual paints the trucks as a tribute to the Marine Corps.

I see them at least twice a week in around the Detroit MI area.

There is an eighteen wheeler that parks about one mile away from where I live periodically. The cargo container says something like this, " Marine. Earned, never given." It looks authentic.

I see them every couple of weeks going thru here ( Union City, TN).

They aren't exclusive to Bar-Nunn any more. I see them being pulled by several differant carriers.

We just had one at the plant last week being driven by Prime Transport. It was the one with the slogan, "Earned, But Never Given" with a picture of the Marmaluke sword.

There is one at PI that just sits there, when I was there we would run by it every time we had PT.

I used to see them almost everyday up here in PA. on the PA - Turnpike & I-78, I-80, I-81. I never see them anymore! Thanks for the 411!

I see them at least 3-4 times a month in North Mississippi. They arent always pulled by the same company.

I work near the Fla.Tunrpike and see them from time to time. Always puts a smile on my face. :flag:
