Forgive me if I'm wrong Sergeant, but I believe this goes in the forum above this one entitled "looking for a leatherneck"

Would that be SSGT Billy D. Ledbetter? If so he was my Senior DI at P.I.
in 1980. 3rd Btn. Plt. 3082

 I don't remember his first name. I came in after pick up. It was my first platoon. He was older and rough looking Kinda reminds ya of Ernest Borgnign in a way. I remember he used to send me to the G-5 to get coffee and doughnuts (cuz I was the new hat) and when I would return the prives were sweatin and shakin. I felt left out, lol. they were rock and rollers. He was caucasian and dark complected with a pocked face. I just don't know if it was Billy.

Well you just described him. Billy D. use to lift his fists and
called them "Thunder and Lighting". You didn't want to meet
up with that storm!
