Keep having these dreams about Bootcamp which isn't to bad but in most of these dreams I get hurt and can't continue on and what not. Which is what I fear most is getting injured at Bootcamp and being kicked out. 47 days tell bootcamp too!!

I guess you can only pray you don't injure yourself. On the 3 part story "Making Marines" They followed this one super motivated recruit who made a dumb mistake and slipped off a ladder and broke his ankle. I can only imagine what you're feeling right now.

YOU DREAM ABOUT OTHER MEN LOOKING AT YOU NAKED!!!!????

Just kidding. Stop worrying so much about it. If you signed the contract, you're obligated (well, at least if you have any semblance of manhood, you are) so think of it as inevitable. If it can't be changed, all you can do is enjoy your time until and prepare as much as you can.

I've had a few dreams like that. One of them was where I was in bootcamp about to do the Crucible, and about halfway through the event I suddenly realized I was wasn't wearing any pants. It was really awkward since I was wearing everything else, just no pants. I just tried to act really cool about it and hoped nobody'd notice, but I was utterly terrified.

I kind of didn't have much of an appetite for the rest of the day after I woke up.

I was once bent over shoeing a horse with nothing between me and the lord but a T-shirt, not even chaps. Then i woke up to Shakira crooning Ojos Asi on the radio...

Hahaha.

Well, here's a kinda funny dream. From bootcamp, actually.

Just had my wisdom teeth removed and had 24 hr SIQ. The vicodin issued hit me...pretty hard. I was laying in my rack and my DI just slowly crooned his head paralell to the deck over mine.

"Boy, you look high as a mother****in' kite," he says.

"Nooo, sirrrr," very slowly came out of my mouth.

"You're a damn liar, recruit," he exlaims and very slowly removes himself from my field of vision.

As he was walking away, at this point I dont know if I was still awake or not, but the movie, "White Chicks," was running through my head, and I whispered, "Did anyone ever tell you you look like a young Denzel Washington?"

I heard a very brief pause in step. Woke up in the middle of the night and hoped at least the last part of that was a dream, or better yet, all of it.

Noooope. Woke up the next day, SIQ was over, and without having done anything wrong that day, found myself getting thrashed 24/7 for about 3 days.

I think I've come to the conclusion that the last part may have actually happened (the quote from the movie).

I'll never be able to keep my bearing when I think of that day...haha.

how bout having dreams of combat before even going to boot? i dont know why but maybe its because im so pumped for the Marines but ive had a few dreams in which i was already in combat with other Marines. Pre-Traumatic Stress Syndrome?

i dont know why but maybe its because..

No. You've watched too many movies and you can't stop picturing yourself as Pvt. Ryan. You should take it down a couple notches guy as you're probably in for a few surprises if you make it there. These are thoughts you should really keep to yourself. They make you sound silly and naive.

Well actually the dreams did come one night when i watched Pearl Harbor and in the other one i was a Marine but not in combat. But we shall see....

i dream of stupid ****, i leave for basic in all but 3 days. I still worry, however, dreaming is a system used by your body to get bad **** out it doesnt want in your mind. Your minds telling you not to think of basic as a bad thing or as if something bad was going to happen. However, your bodys is telling you different. so when your out there, say, STFU both Body And Mind, and listen to your DI, theres no time for yourself besides when u dream, and there is the problem ;) goodluck
