Well I took my ASVAB yesterday, and despite all the worrying I had about it, I did pretty good. Got an 88 and finished the test pretty quick at that. The practice tests I took online were actually harder than the real thing, at least the version I took. So this is pretty cool since I qualify for pretty much any job field, so long as there's openings for them. I think I'm still going to go with field 46xx (hopefully I'll get the Combat Illustrator/Graphics Specialist MOS. that'd be badass, but the whole field is pretty cool) but having so many different options I didn't expect to get is quite tempting.

But I still need to go through MEPs medical screening and get sworn in. I haven't done that yet since me and the recruiter are going to see if we can get my old medical records first. I was ADD diagnosed as a kid, got put on the stupid pills for a few years because some prissy teacher thought that me wanting to have Nerf wars rather than doing math homework meant I had a learning disability. The recruiting station's Gunny says it shouldn't disqualify me or anything, just an inconvenient delay at worst.

Not a Poolee yet, but I'm getting there.

Awesome job man, 9 pts better than what I got! As a combat illustrator what exactly would you be doing?

Har har... I mean would he be illustrating battles, objects, people? Would he have to imagine the scene from first hand accounts? Or would he be tossed into the front lines with a sketch pad and pencil?
