Well let me start out saying Marines are what I look up to, and aspire to be... So thank you all for your service.

With that being said, i'm very moto and i'm ready to enlist when I graduate (currently a student at Hargrave Military Academy) ... Anyways, i've done the research about Asthma and the waiver processes, etc... Now i'm a bit unclear about the Methacholine Challenge Test... If you fail this test, is it automatic DQ? Can you take the test more than one time?

Also, something i've not exactly done the most research on, but about a dental exam... If I have a cavity is that a temp DQ? Or can I enlist with it?

One more thing... A fellow student here who is DEP'd in, shipping 6 days after graduation told me that if you were to fail out of bootcamp, you can reenlist or join a branch... What's the deal with that?

Any answers provided will be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

The cavity isn't a problem. Many recruits have them, dental will fix you up once you get to boot camp.

If you fail the MCT you're in trouble. The Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) is the test that things seem to be geared for, which is good if you can pass it. A normal PFT will just about ensure you get the waiver if you haven't had any problems since age 12. If you're still asthmatic, you're going to have some problems.

We've covered most of this before, so do a search on the forums and you should find everything you need. If not, shoot me a PM and I'll point you in the right direction.
