Lima Company To Be Honored
Memorial To Fallen Marines Set For Ohio Statehouse

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The hardest hit unit of the Iraq war, Ohio’s Lima Company, will be honored with a special memorial at the Statehouse in Columbus.
The reserve unit lost 22 Marines and one Navy Corpsman last year while deployed in Iraq.
Columbus artist Anita Miller created the memorial, with 23 life-sized paintings of the fallen heroes.
In a written statement, Miller said it was an honor and privilege to work on the memorial to Lima Company.
“It is my hope that through the Lima Company Memorial, all people will be able to experience the love and devotion of the Marines whose faithfulness never wavered,” said Miller.
