Marines Incorporate Defenshield Into Upgraded Traffic Control Points

CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq, April 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Additional
shipments of Defenshield Mobile Defensive Fighting Positions (MDFPs) are on
their way to support U.S. Marine operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. There
are now over 500 MDFPs deployed in the Middle East, protecting soldiers in
the war effort.

Hassle-free processing through GSA Advantage! allowed the Joint
Contracting Command Iraq/Afghanistan to issue a one-click order and receive
the in-stock DS-192 units a minimal lead time of less than three weeks.

Marine combat engineers are using Defenshield MDFP's along side
earth-filled HESCO barriers and plywood construction to fortify entry
control points. The MDFP's provide excellent visibility of approaching
threats while still maintaining the highest level protection available in a
mobile, stand-alone device. Units currently in use by the Marines have
ATV-style tires which allow the MDFP's to be easily reconfigured for
optimal positioning.

The Defenshield product line is available through the GSA Schedule
(GS-07F-5660P) to all federal agencies and to state, local, and municipal
law enforcement under the Justice Department 1122 program. Additional
funding is available through the DHS Homeland Security Grant Program
(HSGP).

Defenshield Inc. is a veteran-owned, New York corporation manufacturing
bullet, blast and fragment resistant products for the military, public
security, homeland defense, and law enforcement. The Defenshield product
line offers the highest level of security, defeating armor-piercing
weaponry, assault and sniper rifles, as well as handgun and shotgun rounds.
Uses include hostage negotiations, combat personnel protection, and the
immediate establishment of security checkpoints whenever and wherever a
higher level of personal protection is necessary. Non-ballistic products
are also available for less-than-lethal environments such as corrections
and crowd control.
