:mad: DOD. Declassify..... Project Shad/112.....Chemical and Biological Warfare Agents Used as part of the testing program;

(1). Biological Warfare Agents,
(a). Coxiella Burnetii,
(b). Pasteurella Tularensis ( since renamed Francisella tularensis ).

(2). Biological Warfare Agent Simulants.
(a). Bacillus globigii (BG). ( since renamed B. Licheniformis ).
(b). Escherichia coli (E.coli).
(c). Serratia marcsen.s

(3). Biological Warfare Agent;
(a). Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B

(4). Biological Warfare Agent Simulant;
(a). Zinc Cadmium Sulfide (ZnCdS),

(5). Chemical Warfare Agents;
(a). GB (sarin),
(b). VX (including P32 radiolabeled VX)

(6). Chemical Warfare Agent Simulants.
(a). Methylacetoacetate.
(b). Sulfur dioxide.

(7). Various Chemical Decontaminating Agents.
(a). B-propiolactone.
(b). Ethyl Alcohol.
(c). Lysol tm.
(d). Peracetic acid.
(e). Potassium hydroxide.
(f). Sodium hydroxid.
(g). Sodium hypochlorite (bleach).

Information on the most hazardous of these substances is provided to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). to continues to work with DOD to obtain information on all of the substances utilized.

Project Shad/112....Involved service members from the Navy and Marine
Corps and a small number of personnel from the Army and Air Force. According to DOD. test reports prepared at the conclusion of each test indicate that all personnal who participated in testing were required to use the protective measures deemed appropriate at the time.....GAS-MASK
