:!: Project Shad and Project 112 was a series of secret Chemical and Biological test conducted by the Department of Defense (DOD).From 1962 to 1975. The test were intented to evaluate the effectiveness of shipboard detection and procedures against chemicals warfare agents. US Marines did the job. Based on information available to the Department of Veterans Affairs
today we understand these possible exposures to the Chemicals and Biological warfare agents.ie Sarin Nerve Agent, T.O.F. VX Nerve Agent,
Bacteria Bacillus Globigii, Cosiella, Coxiella burnetii and Pasteucella, tularensis, Tracer Material Zinc Cadmium Sulfide (ZNEDS) and the Decontaminant Beta-Propiolactone Tracer Material, Zinc Cadmium Sulfate relating to other Exposures and other agents including at least tracer amounts of radioactivity and Asbestos....That means Exposure to Radiation and Chemical Substances.
Land-Base test were also conducted at...Vieques, Hawaii,Alaska,Maryland
and Florida.
