Will I be able to join?

I want to join the marine corps reserve. Three years ago, I was diagnosed with depression and social anxiety disorder. I was on medication for two years and went to counseling during that time. I went off it a year ago with the doctor's permission. I also have used marijuana on several occassions. Do you think I will be able to get these waivers or should I look into another branch? If I get denied a waiver will that permanently disqualify me or will I be able to apply again at some point in the future?

Read the rules of the site and always capitalize Marine Corps.

Only a current recruiter can positively answer your questions. There are waivers for one or the other, but probably difficult to get for both. It depends on how/why the deny you if you can apply in the future with the USMC.

You will have an easier time getting into the Army.
