Reserves enlistment

I have a quick question about the reserves enlistment bonus. my recruiter said that there was no enlistment bonus, im guessing he meant there was none for the mos i had. however, i have decided to change to 0311 which i believe would allow me an enlistment bonus. the problem is i have already sworn in and am just waiting to ship out. am i screwed with the bonus or can paperwork be changed allowing me the enlistment bonus?

Oh yes the title of Marine is far more important to me, but if it is an option i wouldnt mind the extra money. it is nothing that will stop me from shipping out, just wondering if i can still get it or not

Your contract can be changed up to the date you ship out. Your recruiter is the best person to answer your question.

What makes you think there's a bonus for Reserve 0311? Everyone wants that MOS.

Just something i read online, ive had numerous people tell me there is and isn't a bonus, none of them have been Marines though so i figured i would go to the source. also, i do plan on talking to my recruiters again tomorrow.

unless things have changed since I was in, there is no bonuses for reservist. I enlisted as a reservist to begin my career and was given avionics which always has a bonus. Generally bonuses are given to those on active duty since they will be utilizing thier trained skills daily not once a month.

With all due respect to the other Marines in this thread,

There is now a small bonus for the 0311 reservists, as well as 5811 reservists. Those are the only two MOS's I am 100% on. Now your recrutier may not be lying to you about the bonus because he may have already filled his allotment of those for bonuses, or they could have stopped them within the last 2 months.... but last time I checked it still existed and I was the idiot who didn't ask about it...so I didn't get it.
