Ok so myself and my buddy (who I am doing the Buddy Program with) have to lose a few pounds before we can go to MEPS and be processed, We are trying to go to boot camp this summer and be back in time before the Fall semester of college starts
Whats the quickest and healthiest way to lose weight??
(We both have to lose about 25-30 lbs in about 2-3weeks) (Our recruiter said he can have us to our weight in 2 weeks but i dont know about that)
:scared:
Umm, yeah, 25 to 30 pounds in 2-3 weeks? I once did 25 in four and I went to the gym five days a week and busted my backside for it!
For starters you need to look around in here and search the threads. Fitness questions and anwers have been posted in droves, so do your homeowrk. then you need to work with your recruiter and you may have to think twice about that ship date.
Not trying to discourage you, but be realistic. If you break yourself before you go to boot the wait will be even longer.
OB MSG, out!

The basic rule. You need to burn more calories than you are eating. In your case, a LOT more.
Don't mis-understand, you still must eat and drink water to do it.
I have lost 35 lbs in the last year. I still eat like a pig, but I have been working my a$$ off on a zillion things.
You are unlikely to lose that 25-30 lbs in 2-3 weeks. I hope you adhere to SSgt OB MSG's sound advice, and don't break yourself!
If you train really hard and sweat 3-4 ( minimum) hours a day for the next few weeks, you'll put a good dent in your goal, but I'm not optimistic for you to lose all those pounds in such a short time....it's not impossible, but very unlikely. My bro lost over 50 lbs in boot camp...but that was over 13 weeks and the DI's were very supportive!
You'll need to do pretty much all cardio...any weight training should be done with very little weight and zillions of repetitions. ( Bulk muscle is heavy! )
You are obviously not in prime shape already to be able to handle full day workouts or you wouldn't be asking, and I always recommend building up your routine, not going headfirst, overzealously unprepared as it sounds like you are. Proceed with care!
So that's my answer, burn up the fat reserves by tons of hard work and sweat. Do it safely with lots of water, healthy eating, stretching and I wish you good luck!
As SSgt OB MSG said, there's plenty of good advice here on Leatherneck. Unfortunately for you, you have no time to sit down and read forums if you actually expect to accomplish your weight loss goal.
PS - The recruiter is not a magician - the Marine Corps has no MOS for magician.
What are you still looking at the screen for?? Go now!

I am very active, Im in ROTC, and I play college basketball . . .Right on girlfren but if you played 10 pins you'd know that 25-30 lbs is about 2 bowling balls. Thats a lot of weight to cut in 2 weeks. It just aint right.

Lots of water and no artificial sweetners and sugars. Snickers, Ho Ho's, sodas, things of that nature make it harder to loose weight.
Eat lots of veggies, and little red meat. Stay away from Mcdonalds, Burger King, Hardee's and the other fat body restraunts.
Eat 4 small meals with snacks consisting of fruit and raw veggies. Don't eat two hours before lights out.
Combine this with a good work out and lots of running and you will still be pressed to drop it all in 2 weeks.

Big deal that much weight in 2 weeks isn't good for you in the first place if you wanted to be a Marine why didn't you take it off sooner, btw if you are that active why are you a hog body?:flag:

Nope only the white lines for those that get sunburn, but that would be funny to see.
