Since I'm not a Marine yet, it wont let me post in "find a leatherneck". I am leaving for boot in 2 months. My older brother (who is 22) had a best friend who's name was Jacob or Jake Smith. He joined the Marines when he was 18 amd followed his older brother's footsteps.
Jake was featured in this article, http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23491&highlight=Jake+Smith
I am just wondering if there is anyway I can find jake on this website (Yes, I did many searches.) I am also wondering if anyone knows Jake. He has red hair, is from South Berwick, ME., and is around 21-22. His MOS is Infantry. Please Help me out guys!!! Thanks.

You would have better luck tracking down his family, who maybe still live in your hometown? And what about your brother?

I moved to North Carolina and have tried to locate his mother but had no luck. My brother got into a bad wreck when he was 19 that left him in coma for 3 months. He's not all the way back to normal and it wouldnt help if I brought up his old friends. No disrespect sir. I just saw that he was on the site and didnt know if he had a account. Thanks.

Roger, that. You should realize that there are only a small number of active duty folks that regularly cruise this site. AD Marines are busy people. Keep searching. Good luck.

I could use the Marine Locater for you, but I would need some more information as to him. I would need a middle name or rank or station. You give me this info and I'll see what I can do for ya

Thank you all who tried to help me find him. I found his mothers name and got in contact with her and she said he was in Afganistan. He won't be home until December but she gave me his address and told me about a website called motomail.us so I wrote him a letter. Again, thank you all for trying your best to help me.
