The old Iraqi woman stared straight at the young Marine and silently raised a tanned, tattooed hand to point over her shoulder.

An Iraqi boy and woman greet Marine Sgt. John Deer, 25, of Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, from Los Angeles, on Friday as he and other Marines of Lima Company patrol an area where a Iraqi army weapons cache exploded on Tuesday in Baghdad.

The Marine followed, cautiously walking around the corner of the brown brick house where she stood like a pillar.

Peering through the open window, he saw what the woman wanted him to see: a room filled nearly to the ceiling with huge artillery rounds ---- some in boxes, others haplessly strewn about the floor.

Other U.S. Marines peering into other windows of the half-dozen houses along the dirt lot found more high-explosive rounds of varying sizes spilling from olive drab boxes marked: "GHQ Jordan Armed Forces, Dir. Of Planning and Org. Amman, Jordan."
