What Costs MORE than the Iraq War? HERE!

WELL friends....THIS SHOULD OPEN SOME EYES FOR THE PEOPLE WHO SAY WE ARE SPENDING TOO MUCH OVERSEAS....LETS CLEAN UP OUR HOUSE FIRST.... Why aren't the candidates talking about this? Why isn't this is published? Add up these amounts..

What costs more per year than the Iraq War?

I hope the following 14 reasons are forwarded over and over again until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them. I have included the URL's for verification of the following facts:

1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77

2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens. http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.. http:/ /www.c is.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html <http://www.c%20is.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html>

4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English! http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.0.html

9. $200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two-and-a-half times that of white non-illegal aliens.. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the US . http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html

11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin and marijuana, crossed into the U. S from the Southern border. Homeland Security Report. http://tinyurl.com/t9sht

12. The National Policy Institute, 'estimated that the total cost of mass deportation of illegal aliens' would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period. http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/pdf/deportation.pdf

13. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin. http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm

Total cost is a whooping .... $338.3 BILLION A YEAR!!!

If this doesn't bother you then just delete the message, but on the other hand, if it does raise the hair on the back of your neck, then forward it.

SEND THIS TO ALL YOU KNOW. THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF THE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO KNOW THIS INFORMATION, UNLESS THEY DON'T MIND SHARING THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY WITH FOREIGN WORKERS who didn't pay in a dime................

Me too, lets see.....2.5 Trillion dollars, so far. Thats about 2 Billion a week, yikes. 2,500,000,000,000.00

http://www.newstatesman.com/200703120024

$1 trillion would be enough money to buy about a 1,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies for every person in the United States. A trillion barrels of oil would — at current consumption levels — fuel the world for about 33 years.

What I'd like to know is why we were told before the invasion that the war would be paid primarily through Iraqi oil money. I can pull up the quotes if needed.

Good question Kato....

The war is costing tax payers from 4-12 billion a month, depending on which source you want to use. Keep in mind those figures are per month, not per year. So even if you use the "low" estimate of 4 Bil a month that would equate to 28 Billion a year, which surpases most all of the numbers above.

http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?articleID=070710_1_A4_Month52386

The war will eventually cost about 2 Trillion dollars, or 2,000,000,000,000.00

This is a result of the big spending republicans being in charge. Creating a 'nanny state' for the illegals, the War Party and the corporations, all the while the hard working Americans get layoff...

Dawgg, that reminds me of a conversation I had recently with one of my daughters husband. He's a good guy he has been brainwashed with right wing republican nonsense. Typical engineer type, lol.

He was saying how he dislikes democrats because they are going to raise taxes and take his money for social programs, like health care.

IMO republicans like to borrow and spend, democrats like to tax and spend. Which is more honest and healthy? Seems to take it out of your pocket is to me instead of mortgaging our childrens future by borrowing.

That still doens't answer the question of who taxes more? I think the Dems like to tax the rich more, which is why Corporate America hates the dems.

All I know is the national debt is a horrible reflection of our country, just like personal debt is a reflection of ourselves.

Say what your want about Clinton and I have bad things to say as well, but he did like to keep our bank account pretty balanced, it was almost down to a surplus with his administration.

AMERICA ASKED FOR A CHANGE:

A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we're
seen:
1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) the cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value
evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by
$1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

The most significant accomplishment by the Democratic controlled Congress in 2007: THEY VOTED TO INCREASE THEIR PAY !!!!

The clinton 'surplus' [ coming from the unreal books] was due to revenue increase,{not his doing}, and robbing the military {his doing}. Once his policies took the revenues down, and we needed the military again, Thinged changed. The clinton era was a hiccup, for which he would like to take the credit. Ain't happening unless you rewrite history

OK?

Yea thats a great clip man, thats what I'm saying. Actually the graph doesn't show Clinton having a surplus, but it was down way way lower than what we have now. My point wasn't as much about Clinton as it was about our national debt in general.

As the clip shows Bush at the very start saying our debt is 296 Billion, and its really 760 Billion, and our debts and commitments are 49 Trillion, unreal.

Jim Cooper also states how we are "borrowing fantastic sums of money from other countires".

jetdoc
03-29-08, 12:05 PM
Again its the debt man, the debt, the borrowing from other countries, WGAF if its Clinton or Bush, its OURS. Also the trade deficit is a big chunk of it.

03-29-08, 12:20 PM
James, I am with you about congress, they are almost as inept as Bush, almost. They have actually had a slim majority in the Senate and a 30 seat majority in the house for about 1 yr. of actual "working time", if you call it that. Our current problems have been festering for a lot longer than one year my friend, lol.

A lot of our problems started to really grow when the republicans controlled congress and the White house, no checks and balances and we are paying for it, big time.

Actually this congress has done a few good things, IMO:

Lawmakers passed a lobbying and ethics reform bill, a package of security measures recommended by the 9/11 Commission, a raise in the minimum wage, and an increase in federal funding for embryonic stem cells, which Bush (http://topics.cnn.com/topics/george_w_bush) vetoed. <!--startclickprintexclude--> <!--endclickprintexclude-->

Congress also is expected to complete final action in September on an increase in health insurance for underprivileged children and student loan reform.

Using the high estimate of 12b per month still only equates to 144b per year. less than half of what these other things cost us per year.

The war needs to rage on for 10 years at an average rate of 16.6b per month to come to 2t. While we are getting there we aren't there yet. Let Chicken Little call out the sky is falling. No need for the military to do it for him.

Stop blaming everything on bush. It's the democrat controlled house and senate that are passing all this sh*t . the first thing that happens as soon as a Republican gets in office these days. is the demoncrats liberals have to shot them down and make everything they do look bad you they can look rosy . so the people will think there being saved again and they increase government i e spending.

1954

Operation ********* deported more than 130,000 Mexican nationals in the space of almost a year, although local INS officials claimed that an additional 1 million to 1.2 million had fled to Mexico. The INS estimates rested on the claim that most illegal immigrants, fearing apprehension by the government, had voluntarily repatriated themselves before and during the initiative. Proponents of increased deportations point to a multiplying effect, where each individual deported resulted in roughly nine voluntarily returning to their home country.
