Hi everyone im lookin to join the Marines and everyday is a step closer. The next step is having a parent sign the papers because i am only 17. My question is whats the next step(s)? I have searched around a bit and cant seem to find one solid clear anwser. All i have done atm was go down to the recuiters officer and take some test on the computer and scored a 54 on it. The recuiter said its to see where i am at. He did speak breifly about after what happens when my parent signs, something about getin sworn in and getting my health checked out. So what comes next and how soon? Also i have read if you are unable to meet physical demands in bootcamp you will be recycled through? Oh i also forget, is there a physical test before bootcamp? I can't lie i am out of shape sitting at about 5'5 and weighing 160.
Thank you for your replys and time guys.

I too joined at 17 afterI signed all the papers at the Recuiters I went L.A had a bunch of Doctors look at me got sworn in, got on a bus and went to MCRD San Diego for Boot Camp, but that was many moons ago before all you Poolees were born. But did have a PT test soon after I got there and ran 3 miles almost everyday. Wish I could tell you how it goes now but it has changed some.

You are 5'5", weigh 160 lbs, and are out of shape, what with all the exercise you get from feeding fish.
The Recruiter CAN answer all these questions.

Yeah, but obviously while the recruiter was explaining things, you weren't paying attention or taking notes. Daydreaming about a set of Dress Blues instead?
Start paying attention and keeping notes so we don't see anymore chat room writing and "he said something about...". Start working out to lose weight and get in shape, then there isn't a concern about being sent to PCP and recycled. Also, stop snacking on the fish food.

And better pay attention to detail. You are not a poolee yet. You are still a wannabee. The poolees have already signed a contract and passed through MEPS.
