Like many former Marines I owe a lot to my drill instructors. It would be nice if there were someway to contact them or just leave them a message. I went through boot from December of 69 to March of 70. Those short 8-9 weeks had an enourmous impact on my life, not only making a man out of me physically but mentally as well. My DIs taught me how to take responsibility for myself and how to be part of a team.
So thank you SSGT Frederich, Sgt Dickerson, Sgt. Wren.
Oh yeah, I would love to hear from anyone I served with. Capt. Godsil, Gunny King, Sgt Hires, Sgt Mulvaney and all the other great guys I served with.
Former Sgt. James E. Grimes who retired as a LCDR in the Navy Reserve. (Really just an old buck sergeant at heart)::marine:
