We said kill for the first couple weeks, then the word was changed to fight. Apparently someone got scared... However while up north we were allowed to say kill, but not at MCRD SD.

Yeah I heard from some PFC working in my recruiter's office who was in one of the last companies (maybe even the last?) who were allowed to say kill.

He said it had something to do with some pussy recruit got offended about having to say kill and wrote his mommy home, who in turn wrote to Mothers Against the Marine Corps and got somebody in the brass to capitulate and send the order down that it's now drill instead of kill.

/edit: Bunch of bs if you ask me. Last time I checked, I was joining the meanest, toughest fighting machine on earth and now recruits can't say kill?
