In order to help prepare young adults who plan on joining the Marine Corp, a family night and dinner was held this evening in Duluth.

And the drill instructors were on the guest list...

"One, two, three ("drill instructor drill instructor, drill instructor") do you understand?"

I think they made it pretty clear that discipline was a priority.

"Faster faster, faster!"

As well as the core values of honor, courage, and commitment.

"Aye aye sir, aye sir"

The poolees and their parents were given a brief demonstration of what recruits can expect at boot camp as well as an opportunity to ask questions.

"When I was 18, I think I obviously though of one thing, that was the female persuasion, so we want their mind focused on where it needs to be," said one of the recruits.

The Corps prides itself on not lowering its standards to meet recruiting goals, and offers few incentive programs to join, other than a chance to earn the title of "Marine".
