I DEP'ed in Sept 07, I am leaving for PI tomorrow. Thanks to all of you who contribute to this site.
I have been following these forums since before I entered the DEP, this is what I've gathered:

• Keep your mouth shut
• Keep your ears open
• Do everything you're told without question as fast as possible as best as possible
• Stay motivated and dedicated
• Never quit

I've memorized rank structure, 11 general orders and Marines Hymn.

Thanks again for all information that has been provided here. Any last minute additions and advice is highly appreciated.

OOHRAH!! Keep your head up kid, you'll do fine. A tiny 13 weeks of your life and you earn something that few have, the title MARINE!! When times are hard, imagine yourself walking through the airport in your charlies with your family. That always motivated me =)

If you wanna be a guide or squad leader.

Just scream very very loud and regulate something.

Keep your head up and make sure you get a proper hygeine.

Does "devil pups" refer to poolees/recruits, or to junior Marines?

Sounds like poolees/recruits.
