My late father, George (Yutch) Huntington, flew corsairs in the South Pacific. He flew over Yap, Palau, Ulitki, and other locations. His time in the South Pacific was from July, 1944, until June, 1945.
His training was in Peru, Indiana; Pensacola, Florida; Mojave, California; among other training sites.
Following his return from the Pacific theatre, he was at Cherry Point, North Carolina.
If anyone knew him or flew with him, I would be honored to make contact and hopefully gather some anecdotes about my dad.
