I asked my recruiter but he hasn't gotten back to me. Also how long is it?

I think, but am not positive, it's in either Quantico, VA or somewhere in Florida. The school lasts for about a year. Not positive.

I was going into Intel, but I got closed out of it. :(

That information is secret. We could tell you, but then would have to kill you.

It depends, if you are regular Intel, than you will go to NMITC in Virginia. Right next to scenic Virginia Beach. You will spend about 3 months there. However, if you are Signals Intel (like myself) than you will go to Corry Station in Pensacola, FL. Depending on your MOS, you will be there from between 3-4 months to up to a year. If you are a 2651 (like myself), may God have mercy on your soul boy.

Intel Specialists (0231) train for twelve weeks (AKA three months for those of you that can't do math! :P) at the Navy/Marine Intelligence Training Center (NMITC), Dam Neck Annex, NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. If you want to take a look at it on a satellite picture, here's the exact building you'll be in

BTW, I haven't gone through the training yet (leave for Boot 20090222) but I sure as hell don't half-ass on doing my own intel ;)

What he said! You may be there an extra month or so if you're one of the first ones from your class to check in. You'll have to wait for the rest of your class to get there over the coming weeks so you'll end up doing guard duty with the swabbies or working at NMITC escorting the cleaning crew. If you get there during the summer, then you're in luck because there are far worse places to be than Virginia Beach during the summer and from experience, there are only 150 or so Marines on the entire base so you won't get the whole Devil Dog stigma like you would at a fleet unit and navy girls love Marines fresh out of bootcamp...so stay away from them because they're nothing but trouble! ;)

If all goes well, I should be graduating Boot on 20090522 and heading to MCT 20090601. Should be in Virginia Beach at the beginning of July. Two words: GET SOME!!!

Don't forget the Marines running the MCSF range at Damneck - there about 20 - 25 of those fine leatherheads hiding down at the range(s).

That was a great duty station.

Let me correct myself as my estimate was wrong. After thinking about it, I would estimate the number is closer to 250 but the 4207 class (Intel Marines) are the only ones required to live on base since it's an introductory school. The CI Marines are all Sgt and above so they rate off duty quarters (hotel) and the officers going through their Intel School rate that as well. The majority of Marines running around Dam Neck are going to be PFC's and Privates though.

See you there poolee0200...

Question : How are living arrangements set up while taking classes? Do they provide dorm-style rooms or is it more like apartment complexes? Thanks.

From what I hear, they're dorm-style with two to a room (no bunks!). When's your PADD?

The are dorm style rooms. Two Marines to a room. Electronic keys and when you walk into the room, there is a common area with a small fridge, sink and some cabinets with a breakfast bar and some stools. There is a shared bathroom on the other side and then two seperate rooms with a bed, desk, walk in closet and some drawers. Easily the nicest living environment I had ever seen in the Marine Corps (although it's a Navy base).

Downstairs is a common area for the Marines with a bunch of sofas, big screen t.v. and a fooseball table if memory serves correctly. Also, in the rooms there is internet and cable hook-ups but you have to pay for them monthly. Each deck has their own washers and dryers so you can do laundry whenever.
